In Luxor, we got a chance to visit many tombs and temples. That’s where most hieroglyphics were. The sites were amazing. We visited, the Karnack Temples, The Valley of the Kings visiting tombs of some of the Pharaohs, the Valley of the Queens, where we visited Hatsheput temple, and other temples along the way. It was amazing being able to walk around the temples and the tombs. The only thing I didn’t like about Luxor was that it was a bit too touristy as compared to the rest of Egypt I’ve been too. It seemed like the entire city’s main goal was to serve tourism and nothing else. The sad part was that I saw a lot of low income Egyptians living there or forced to sell as many items they could to make some money. I wondered if the Egyptians living had the means to actually enjoy the history of their own country.
